The Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act of 2021 includes the Moms Matter Act, a maternal mental health equity bill to provide for quality screening, treatment, support, and research of Black mothers with mental health needs.
Our country relies on the health and security of families as a building block of our society. Without additional support, mothers and children will continue facing challenges to treatment and may remain untreated for years until a crisis or costly care is required. Congress can and should make it easier for moms and babies to access support and care early on when it matters most.
